China Association for Science and Technology: Stop accepting applications for funding for scholars to attend this year's NeurIPS conference.

On March 27, the Voice of China Association for Science and Technology released a statement: 1. Starting from March 27, 2026, the China Association for Science and Technology will stop accepting applications for funding scholars to attend the 2026 NeurIPS conference. Instead, all relevant applications will be redirected to domestic academic conferences or internationally renowned conferences that respect the rights of Chinese scholars, uphold principles of openness and cooperation, adhere to the ethical standards of the academic community, and have outstanding academic influence. 2. Papers presented at this year's NeurIPS conference will not be recognized as representative works for applying to any projects supported by the China Association for Science and Technology. However, academic influence granted fairly by relevant national associations based on academic standards for Chinese scholars will be acknowledged.
