Report on the decline in grain prices, as energy and fertilizer costs remain the top concern.
Grain prices on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange are trending lower, as traders are closely monitoring the developments between the United States and Iran. In a report, AgResource stated, "We are waiting for news about the war, to see if a peace agreement will be accepted, or if the war will escalate to a more deadly stage." If the war escalates, it will pose further threats to the energy needed for crop growth and will restrict fertilizer supplies in the Middle East. The most actively traded corn futures fell by 0.8%, soybean futures fell by 0.3%, and wheat futures remained steady.
