Wang Yi meets departing Indian Ambassador to China, Luo Zhaohui.
On March 26, Wang Yi, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the outgoing Indian Ambassador to China, Luo Zhaohui, in Beijing. Wang Yi praised Luo Zhaohui for his efforts and contributions to the development of China-India relations. Wang Yi stated that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-India relations have embarked on the correct path of improvement and development. China and India are two major neighboring countries and two major emerging economies, and their common interests far outweigh their differences. Without the development of China and India, there would be no development of the world. Faced with a complex international situation, China is willing to work together with India to implement important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, adhere to being opportunities for each other's development, not threats, be cooperation partners rather than competitors, expand mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, safeguard common interests of the global South, strengthen multilateral cooperation in mechanisms like BRICS, and consolidate the hard-won positive momentum in China-India relations.
