Recently, the "Opinions of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council on the Pilot Work of Extending the Second Round of Land Contracting for Another 30 Years after Expiration" was officially released. The document provides clear responses to issues that farmers are generally concerned about, such as how to extend land contracts after the second round expires and how to resolve prominent contradictions. Overall, the existing rural land contracting relationships will remain stable, protecting farmers' land contracting rights. Since the reform and opening up, China has undergone two rounds of land contracting in rural areas. Clearly extending the second round of land contracting for another 30 years after expiration means that the land contracting relationships will remain stable for up to 75 years, starting from the first round of land contracting at the beginning of rural reform. This not only reflects the long-standing policy requirements but also coincides with the achievement of the second centenary goal at a specific time point.
