Export tax refunds are about to be canceled, and the prices of photovoltaic components are expected to rise significantly.
Recently, journalists conducted on-site research and found that the prices of photovoltaic modules have seen a significant increase. Leading manufacturers such as JA Solar, Longi Green Energy, Tongwei Solar, and JinkoSolar have sequentially raised their product prices, with mainstream module prices generally increasing by 15% to 20% from the previous low point, and some high-power products seeing a 50% increase. Analyst Zheng Tianhong of the Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Network stated that this round of price hikes is the result of a combination of rigid cost increases and policy catalysts, with the core underlying reason being the surge in silver prices and the adjustment of the export tax rebate policy. According to announcements by the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation, starting from April 1, 2026, the value-added tax export rebate for photovoltaic products will be canceled. Many interviewees believe that after the policy is implemented, the industry may enter a period of profit recovery, shifting from price competition towards competition based on technology, brand, and service.
