Bank of America is setting up a private equity M&A team to focus on serving private equity exit transactions.
With the evolution of the traditional "leveraged buyout - quick turnover" business model, private equity firms are holding onto companies for longer periods of time and seeking more innovative ways to realize asset monetization. In response to this trend, Bank of America is forming a new team within its private capital and acquisition division to assist private equity firms in achieving investment exits through flexible and innovative means. In the context of a volatile IPO and exit market, where private equity firms hold a significant amount of unsold companies, this new department will collaborate across departments to develop solutions for them.
