Member of the European Central Bank Governing Council Olli Rehn stated that the ECB is currently finding it difficult to incorporate the economic impact of artificial intelligence into its decision-making. "We often overestimate the short-term impact of new technologies, and underestimate their long-term impact," the head of the Bank of Finland said at a European Central Bank observer meeting in Frankfurt on Wednesday. "Before we can truly incorporate it into monetary policy considerations, we hope to see initial signs of productivity growth in macroeconomic data."
