Driven by the rise in gold prices, US-listed gold stocks rose before the market opened.

The SPDR Gold Trust ETF rose by 3.8%, Newmont Mining rose by 5.8%, Barrick Gold rose by 4.9%, Harmony Gold rose by 6.2%, Kinross Gold rose by 6.3%, and AngloGold Ashanti rose by 5.3%.
