The transport of goods on the Sino-Laos railway has exceeded 80 million tons, and the vitality of the "golden passage" is fully displayed.

On March 25th, it was reported by the China Railway Kunming Group that on that morning, an international freight train loaded with goods departed from Yunnan Kunming Container Center Station and headed towards Vientiane, Laos on the China-Laos Railway. This milestone marked the official transportation of goods on the China-Laos Railway surpassing 80 million tons, with over 18 million tons being cross-border transportation, effectively promoting regional economic development. Since the opening of the China-Laos Railway, a total of 71,000 freight trains have been operated on the entire line, with the number of cross-border freight trains increasing from 2 per day in the initial stages of operation to as high as 23 per day. The train traction capacity has also increased from 2000 tons to 2800 tons, making it a "golden gateway" for connectivity between China and ASEAN.
