National Health Commission: Kyasanur Forest disease and fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome are included in Class B infectious disease management.

The National Health Commission issued a notice today, according to relevant provisions of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China, starting from April 1, 2026, Kyasanur Forest Disease and fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome will be classified as Class B infectious diseases for management, and preventive and control measures for Class B infectious diseases will be taken.
