OpenAI will stop Sora AI video generating service, streamline product line.

Six months after the high-profile launch of the Sora standalone application by OpenAI, the company plans to discontinue the video generation service to streamline its artificial intelligence product line. The company launched the Sora application at the end of September last year, promising users to easily generate and share realistic AI videos in a quasi-social network. The free application quickly rose to the top of the Apple App Store rankings, but has since dropped in ranking. In addition to shutting down this standalone application, OpenAI will also be shutting down the application programming interface used by developers for Sora.
