Floods in Kenya have killed 88 people.
On March 24th, the Kenyan government issued a statement saying that the death toll from the floods in the country has risen to 88. The statement indicated that since early March, at least 21 out of 47 counties in the country have been affected by the floods caused by heavy rains, with two rivers bursting their banks and over 34,000 people displaced. The Kenyan government and the Kenyan Red Cross have stepped up emergency rescue efforts in the worst affected areas, rescuing stranded residents and relocating affected families to safer places.
