Spot silver rose more than 2.6%, quickly hitting a daily high in after-hours trading in the US stock market, with New York copper, platinum group metals also rising in the short term.
On Tuesday in the New York session, spot silver rose by 2.65%, hitting a daily high of $71.0768 per ounce, while it had previously dropped to $66.0205 per ounce, its daily low, at 13:10 Beijing time. COMEX silver futures rose by 2.43%, reaching $71.040 per ounce. COMEX copper futures increased by 0.26%, reaching $5.50 per pound. After-hours trading in the US quickly rebounded from around $5.45 per pound to $5.5405 per pound, a new daily high. Spot platinum rose by 2.70%, while spot palladium increased by 0.18%.
