The International Atomic Energy Agency said that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant has lost connection with the main power transmission line.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said on the 24th that the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant lost connection with the 750 kV main power transmission line that day, and is currently relying on the only backup power line to maintain external power supply. IAEA Director General Grossi stated that the agency is in discussions with both Ukrainian and Russian sides to establish a local ceasefire in order to repair the damaged power transmission line. Currently, experts are continuing to monitor the situation at the nuclear power plant.
