Anthropic: Claude can now manipulate the user's computer to complete tasks, accelerating the deployment of AI intelligent agents.
Under the banner of Anthropic, Claude can now control users' computers to complete various tasks. The company is working to create an AI agent that can rival the popular OpenClaw. On March 24th, Anthropic announced that users can now send task instructions to Claude through their phones, and the AI agent will then complete the task on the computer. Anthropic stated that after receiving the instructions, Claude can open applications, operate browsers, and fill out spreadsheets on the computer. In a demo video released on March 23rd, a scenario was shown where a user was about to be late for a meeting, so they had Claude export a presentation to PDF format and add it to the meeting invitation. The video showed Claude successfully completing the task. This latest upgrade from Anthropic highlights the competition among major artificial intelligence companies to create so-called "agents" - AI systems that can autonomously perform tasks for users around the clock.
