Due to the ongoing geopolitical conflicts, global urea prices are generally rising. Currently, the price difference between domestic and international urea has reached alarming levels. Analysts stated, "Most of the domestic urea spot prices are below 2000 yuan/ton, while the FOB price of small granular urea in China is equivalent to 685-740 US dollars/ton, with a price difference of about 3000 yuan/ton between domestic and international prices." If the geopolitical conflicts persist and Iran and Qatar plants cannot resume operations, the shipping in the Hormuz Strait continues to be disrupted, one-third of the global urea supply will continue to be interrupted, and international urea prices are expected to continue to rise.
