The defendant Jing Yaping was sentenced to ten years and nine months in prison for the crime of accepting bribes, and was fined one million yuan. The illegally obtained property and its interest by the defendant Jing Yaping were confiscated according to law and handed over to the state treasury. It was found through trial that from 2017 to 2025, the defendant Jing Yaping took advantage of her positions as a member of the party committee and deputy director of the Guizhou Province Big Data Development Administration, director of the Guizhou Academy of Sciences, and director of the Guizhou Province Big Data Development Administration to provide assistance in project approval and project contract to relevant units and individuals, illegally accepting a total of more than 17.45 million yuan in cash, some of which were not actually obtained.
