Chow Tai Fook postpones price adjustment for "fixed price" products, store says: new price tags have been received, waiting for headquarters notification.
On March 24th, influenced by the high international gold price pullback, the prices of branded gold jewelry continued to decline. On that day, Chow Tai Fook reported 1346 yuan/gram, a decrease of 29 yuan/gram compared to the previous day; Chow Sang Sang reported 1350 yuan/gram; Lao Feng Xiang reported 1345 yuan/gram. There are market reports that the fluctuating decline in gold prices has disrupted some brands' price increase plans, and Chow Tai Fook's "fixed price" product price adjustment plan has been delayed multiple times. In response, a reporter from China Securities Daily contacted several Chow Tai Fook stores in Beijing and exclusively learned that the price adjustment plan has indeed been postponed. However, the stores have received new price tags allocated by the headquarters but have not yet replaced them. "We are just waiting for the headquarters' notification. If there is an adjustment, we will immediately change the labels. Currently, the prices of 'fixed price' products are generally higher than the current gold price, and the handling fees are also more expensive than calculating by weight. The gold price has experienced a significant decline in the past two days, so the adjustment plan is temporarily postponed. We will follow the headquarters' instructions in the future," the salesperson told the reporter.
