Asus warning: PC prices will increase by 25% to 30% in the second quarter of 2026.
On March 23, 2026, Asus held a Zenbook A16 launch event in Taiwan, China. Liao Yixiang, general manager of the Enterprise Systems Division, revealed that due to the significant increase in costs of components such as memory and processors, the prices of PC systems are expected to rise by 25% to 30% in the second quarter of 2026. For example, the price of 32GB of memory has skyrocketed from around 3000 New Taiwan Dollars to nearly 20000 New Taiwan Dollars compared to the same period last year. According to reports, PC brands such as Acer, MSI, and Gigabyte will also adjust their prices, with an average increase in the double-digit percentage range.
