China-Singapore Dialogue event explores cooperation in artificial intelligence and other areas.
The dialogue event "China's New Chapter of Development, Empowering Singapore Local Enterprises" organized by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry was held in Singapore on the 23rd, where delegates discussed the prospects of cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence. Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming stated at the event that as China promotes the development of the intelligent economy, the space for cooperation between Chinese and Singaporean enterprises continues to expand. Cooperation between China and Singapore in the field of artificial intelligence has already begun, with examples such as the DeepSeek model introduced by Chinese companies attracting many Singaporean users, and Singapore's national large language model "Sealion" collaborating with Alibaba Cloud. In this context, the pathway for business cooperation continues to broaden.
Lim Hwee Ling, President of the Singapore Press Holdings Chinese Media Group, mentioned that the Singapore government will prioritize pushing for the development of artificial intelligence in the 2026 budget, and the Singapore manufacturing industry is generally focusing on how to participate in China's intelligent development process.
Chen Zhanpeng, President of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, highlighted that the economic development model of China is undergoing a profound transformation, bringing new cooperation opportunities for both Singapore and China in the areas of artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and green technology. The dialogue event attracted nearly 200 participants, who also discussed issues such as supply chain resilience.
