World Meteorological Organization: 11 consecutive years of high temperatures, Earth's climate severely imbalanced.
The World Meteorological Organization released the "Global Climate Status in 2025" on the 23rd, which stated that the period from 2015 to 2025 was the hottest 11 years on record, and 2025 was one of the hottest three years on record. One of the authors of the report, John Kennedy, pointed out that multiple indicators show that the trend of climate warming is still ongoing. The report, for the first time, listed the Earth's energy balance status as a key climate indicator. The Earth's energy balance status measures the rate at which energy enters and leaves the Earth system. In a stable climate situation, the energy from solar radiation entering the Earth and the energy leaving the Earth are roughly equal each year. However, the continuous increase in greenhouse gas concentrations has disrupted this balance. Akshay Dioras, a researcher at the UK's National Centre for Atmospheric Science, said that in 2025, the degree of Earth's energy imbalance reached a historic high.
