The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization is conducting research on the construction of a system for recycling and utilizing waste power batteries from new energy vehicles.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized China Resource Recycling Group Limited, Guangdong Bangpu Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. and other relevant enterprises, as well as research institutions such as China Automotive Technology Research Center and CCID Research Institute in Beijing on March 20th to discuss the construction of the recycling system for waste power batteries of new energy vehicles. The meeting thoroughly analyzed the current situation faced by the construction of the recycling system for new energy vehicle power batteries, and conducted serious discussions around innovative policy supply, improvement of recycling mechanisms, and perfecting the standard system. Participants unanimously expressed that they will combine local and corporate practices, gather consensus, form a joint force, and deeply conduct research on major issues in the construction of an integrated recycling network, strengthen policy reserves, and accelerate the improvement of the recycling system for new energy vehicle power batteries.
