The first energy engineering special satellite in our country has been successfully developed.

On March 20th, the "Power Construction No. 1" satellite passed the factory review, marking the successful completion of the satellite development work. This is China's first energy engineering dedicated satellite, jointly developed by China Electric Power Construction Chengdu Institute, China University of Geosciences, and Tianyi Space Technology Co., Ltd. The "Power Construction No. 1" satellite has achieved several technological breakthroughs such as lightweighting, precise positioning, and high resolution imaging, adopting a sun-synchronous orbit with an altitude of 50050 kilometers and a total weight of 298 kilograms. The satellite has built a complete radar satellite technology chain from payloads, platforms, to launch, telemetry, tracking, data transmission, and applications, with a maximum resolution of sub-meter level, revisiting period of 11 days, operational life of 5 years, and applications in monitoring deformation of large-scale engineering structures under harsh environmental and complex geological conditions, as well as identification and early warning of geological disasters.
