Tencent revokes AI Lab

On March 20th, Tencent issued an internal notice stating that AILab will be disbanded, and the relevant personnel from AILab will be reassigned to the Big Language Model Department and the Industry-University-Research Cooperation Center. Tencent's Vice President Jiang Jie will no longer serve as the head of AILab, but his other positions remain unchanged. He is also the Vice President of Tencent's Enterprise Development Group and Technology Engineering Group. AILab was established in 2016 as Tencent's corporate AI lab, focusing on basic research in the field of AI, including areas such as vision, language, natural processing, and machine learning. AILab also participated in the development of Tencent's Mix Driver Model. There has been no response from Tencent officials regarding the adjustment of AILab.
