Byte sells Mouton Technology for over 6 billion dollars, further focusing on AI strategy.

ByteDance announced that it has reached a final agreement to sell Moonton Technology to Savvy Games Group, a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund. The selling price exceeds 6 billion US dollars. Moonton Technology is the developer and publisher of the popular MOBA mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in Southeast Asia, which was acquired by ByteDance in 2021. It is reported that ByteDance has made huge investments in AI, and its overall profit in the fourth quarter of 25 decreased. The sale of Moonton is seen as a further signal of ByteDance's strategic focus on AI.
