On March 19, 2026, at Huawei's China Partner Conference, Huawei announced that it will separate the media industry from its original business system and establish the Huawei Media Legion. Huawei Vice President, ISP and Media Legion CEO Yue Kun announced the news on site, and also announced that Du Zhongxia will serve as the President of the Media Legion.
