The Shuangliu Yangtze River Bridge officially opened today, providing 5-minute direct access to Wuhan.

Today, the Shuangliu Yangtze River Bridge on the Xin'gang Expressway officially opened for trial operation. The main span of the bridge is 1430 meters, with a deck width of 50.5 meters. It is built according to the standard of eight lanes in both directions, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. It is the widest steel box girder cable-stayed bridge on the Yangtze River. As an important part of the Wuhan metropolitan area ring road in the national highway network, after the completion of the bridge, the travel time from Xinzhou in Wuhan to Huarong in Ezhou will be reduced from the previous 90 minutes to about 5 minutes, providing important support for the economic and social development of the areas along the route.
