Bank of England Governor Bailey said in an interview with BBC reporters that the market is somewhat overzealous in expecting a rate hike. "I remind everyone not to rush to a definite conclusion about whether to raise interest rates... Today we have sent a very clear message. The most appropriate action now is to keep the rate unchanged." Bailey said they will "carefully and continuously" examine the scale and severity of this conflict. Bailey also pointed out that it is not the case in 2022 when inflation soared to double digits, and interest rates were significantly raised, indicating that interest rates were already high at that time, and so on.
