A CT report was incorrect twice. The hospital involved has reported that the relevant responsible persons will be severely dealt with.
On March 19, Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University reported a case where three different CT reports were issued for the same part of a woman's body during a medical examination. The investigation found that on December 12, 2025, the doctor involved in the diagnosis of the patient violated the work process by not reviewing the results and issuing an incorrect report. Later, the doctor also violated the work rules by privately modifying the diagnosis opinion, leading to errors in the diagnosis report. After receiving feedback, the department organized a review and issued a corrected report. This incident exposed the inadequate implementation of hospital regulations and the existence of flaws in medical quality management. The hospital has sincerely apologized to the patient, and is working with the patient to resolve the issue in accordance with the law and regulations. The responsible individuals have been severely dealt with, and all work processes and regulations are being strictly implemented to strengthen the bottom line of medical quality and safety and prevent such incidents from happening again, in order to fully protect the rights and interests of the people's health.
