Apple's COO visits China again to visit senior members of the "fruit chain" Foxconn and Luxshare.
On March 17, Apple's Chief Operating Officer Sabih Khan visited the Xingwanda battery factory in Shenzhen, the Foxconn iPhone assembly line, and the iPad assembly business at the Foxconn Chengdu factory. These are two highly experienced Chinese components of the "Apple chain". Xingwanda has been cooperating with Apple since the iPod, for 20 years, providing battery components for products such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, etc.; Foxconn has always been the core assembler for the iPhone assembly process, and their business cooperation now covers a wider range of products. Sabih Khan's visit this time covered key processes from battery production to final assembly, presenting the latest advancements in intelligent manufacturing in the Chinese supply chain. Sabih Khan recalled that his earliest visit to Shenzhen dates back to the end of the last century, and the long-term collaboration between Apple, Xingwanda, and Foxconn is the best example of how two companies can achieve a great accomplishment together. "Collaboration between the two companies will create greater value than going it alone, we have a symbiotic relationship." Recognizing the achievements of Chinese suppliers in intelligent manufacturing, Sabih Khan mentioned that he had studied the Chinese government's new "Five-Year Plan", which includes goals related to manufacturing, talent, and "artificial intelligence +", all of which are reflected in the production workshops of Apple's Chinese suppliers.
