From the press conference held by the State Council Information Office this morning, it was learned that the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference will be held in Beijing from March 25th to 29th. This year's Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference has the theme of "In-Depth Integration of Technological Innovation and Industrial Innovation" and will feature five major sections including forum meetings, results releases, technology exchanges, cutting-edge competitions, and supporting activities, with over one hundred activities planned. It is expected that thousands of guests from over 100 countries and regions will participate in the conference. The annual conference will host 60 parallel forums, including 21 for the first time such as the construction and development of world-class scientific journals, and the high-quality development of the technology service industry, as well as 14 on basic research topics such as quantum technology and lunar space development. In terms of major releases, the conference will unveil the "Global Engineering Frontiers 2025" and the "International Action Plan for Open Science Cooperation", and reveal a series of major achievements such as the "Top Ten Advances in Chinese Science in 2025". In terms of technology exchange, the conference will host over 20 technology matchmaking events with over 500 technology projects from home and abroad participating in roadshows. In the field of cutting-edge competitions, the conference will also hold the ninth Zhongguancun International Cutting-edge Technology Competition Finals. As the "first showcase" for innovative enterprises, more than 30 "unicorn" companies have emerged from this competition since its inception. This year, foreign teams account for over 40% of the total participants, with the number of AI projects being 2.4 times higher than last year.
