According to State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd., as of March 18, 2026, Xinjiang's cumulative grid-connected renewable energy power generation reached 304.36 billion kilowatt-hours, surpassing the 300 billion kilowatt-hours mark, accounting for about 30% of the total grid-connected power generation. Xinjiang is an important power transmission end for transmitting electricity from the west to the east and green energy. By the end of 2025, Xinjiang had completed the construction of 6 renewable energy bases with a capacity of tens of millions of kilowatts, and the installed capacity of new energy reached 169 million kilowatts, accounting for 64% of the total installed capacity in Xinjiang.
