Five people died in a fire at an oil refinery in Mexico.

The Mexican oil company reported on the 17th that a fire broke out on the outskirts of the Tabaasco state's Olmeca refinery, resulting in the death of 5 people. The report stated that due to heavy rainfall, the oily wastewater from the refinery overflowed to the outside of the plant, accumulated outside the wall, and caught fire, causing the fire. Among the 5 deceased was an employee of the Mexican oil company.
