According to Xinhua News Agency, the "China Marine Economy Statistical Bulletin 2025" shows that the total marine production value of China in 2025 reached 11.018 trillion yuan. China's marine economy is advancing with top pressure and high-quality development, demonstrating three accelerated transformations: the marine economy is accelerating its transformation towards quality and efficiency, marine science and technology is accelerating its transformation towards innovation-led, and marine development and protection are accelerating their transformation towards integrated synergy. Currently, emerging industries such as offshore wind power and marine biomedicine are rising rapidly, smart green technologies are empowering traditional industry upgrades, planning is being made for future tracks such as deep-sea industries and marine digital economy, and the marine economy is becoming an important blue engine for national economic growth. According to data from Qichacha, the number of marine economy-related companies in China is increasing year by year. By the end of 2025, a total of 39,200 marine economy-related companies have been registered in China. In terms of regional distribution, the eastern region has the highest number of registered companies in 2025, accounting for over 40%, reaching 42.2%. As of March 17th, there are nearly 200,000 marine economy-related companies in China, and by 2026, nearly 6,000 marine economy-related companies have been registered.
