EU officials say they will not resume importing energy from Russia.
On the 16th local time, the EU Energy Ministers' Meeting was held in Brussels. The meeting focused on the impact of the Middle East conflict on European energy supply and price stability, as well as the EU's response measures. EU Energy Commissioner efovi chaired the meeting. efovi said after the meeting that the European Commission is studying "targeted temporary measures" to alleviate the pressure caused by rising energy prices. Additionally, efovi also stated that the EU will not reengage with Russia on energy imports to offset the impact of soaring energy prices. The EU will stick to its established path of gradually reducing dependence on Russian energy and will not change policy due to current energy market fluctuations.
