Bleached chicken feet have been confiscated.
The 315 Gala exposed bleached chicken feet. After investigating and obtaining evidence, in early March, the 315 Gala reporters transferred the investigation materials to the State Administration for Market Regulation. The State Administration for Market Regulation immediately organized multiple bureaus to analyze and judge the clues. Recently, they mobilized law enforcement forces from various regions to launch a comprehensive crackdown on this black food processing industry chain, targeting merchants and companies involved in illegal activities. They conducted surprise inspections on Shufuxiang, Mingyang Food, Zengqiao Food, and upstream related enterprises. The law enforcement team first investigated Shufuxiang, where they found 27 barrels of hydrogen peroxide in their workshop No. 3, of which 2 barrels were opened, and several barrels of chicken feet were found soaking in workshops No. 4 and No. 5. Law enforcement officers took comprehensive samples of hydrogen peroxide, soaking water, semi-finished and finished products. 232 boxes of Sichuan pepper chicken feet and 319 boxes of fragrant chicken feet with problems in quick tests were sealed on the spot. At the enforcement site, company personnel admitted that since May 2025, they have purchased a total of 5242 barrels of hydrogen peroxide from Jinshan Pharmaceutical for chicken feet processing and equipment disinfection. At the same time, Mingyang Food was investigated for a dirty production environment and serious violations of food safety laws and regulations. Jinshan Pharmaceutical and Yifeng Electronic New Materials were also investigated for providing unlabelled food additives and violating hazardous chemical management regulations. At the same time, another team of law enforcement officers from the State Administration for Market Regulation conducted a surprise inspection on Zengqiao Food. They found 4 unopened barrels of hydrogen peroxide and 1 opened barrel in the boiler room on the 3rd floor, and sealed it on the spot. In the production workshop, multiple barrels of chicken feet and chicken bone sticks were soaking, with liquid in the barrels continuously producing fine bubbles. Monitoring records showed that employees of the factory had moved hydrogen peroxide several times in the factory area, and sampling results confirmed the presence of hydrogen peroxide in soaking water, semi-finished and finished products.
