Port of Commerce announcement, in February 2026, the total number of containers reached 16.466 million TEU, an increase of 14.1% compared to the same period last year; the total number of containers accumulated this year is 35.129 million TEU, an increase of 9.4% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the container volume at mainland ports was 13.034 million TEU, an increase of 18.8% year-on-year; the Pearl River Delta was 1.395 million TEU, an increase of 3.0% year-on-year; the Yangtze River Delta was 8.671 million TEU, an increase of 19.6% year-on-year; the Bohai Sea region was 2.751 million TEU, an increase of 27.5% year-on-year; the Southeast region was 0.148 million TEU, an increase of 9.3% year-on-year; the Southwest region was 0.069 million TEU, a decrease of 4.7% year-on-year; the ports of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan handled 0.364 million TEU, a decrease of 20.4% year-on-year; and overseas ports handled 3.068 million TEU, an increase of 2.1% year-on-year. The total volume of general cargo was 94.674 million tons, an increase of 9.7% compared to the same period last year.
