Due to improper operation by the co-pilot, a Taiwan Navy anti-submarine helicopter mistakenly dropped its auxiliary fuel tank into the sea, and a special team has been set up to investigate. A Taiwan Navy S-70C anti-submarine helicopter dropped its auxiliary fuel tank into the sea during a training exercise off the coast of Zuoying, Kaohsiung on the morning of the 11th due to improper personnel operation. As the tank contained diesel fuel, the Taiwan Ocean Conservation Administration requested the Taiwan Ministry of National Defense to quickly locate and salvage the tank. According to reports, the Taiwan Ocean Conservation Administration stated on the 12th that the accident occurred about 16 nautical miles off the coast of Zuoying, and the auxiliary fuel tank that fell into the sea contained approximately 110 kilograms of diesel fuel. The Taiwan Ministry of National Defense dispatched aircraft and ships to search for the location where the tank fell into the sea, but no oil spills were found.
