Australia's Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, has announced that Australia will temporarily modify its fuel quality standards to allow higher levels of sulfur for the next 60 days. This move will redirect around 100 million liters of new gasoline per month originally intended for export into Australia's domestic supply market. On the business side, Ampol Energy has committed to ensuring that this reallocated supply will prioritize areas experiencing shortages, as well as support independent distributors and bulk fuel users in the wholesale market. Australia is finalizing its contribution share to the International Energy Agency, with these resources then being directly injected into the Australian market.
