The US Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission signed an agreement to cooperate on issues such as developing a regulatory framework for crypto assets.

On March 11 local time, the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at guiding coordination and cooperation between the two agencies to support legal innovation, maintain market integrity, and ensure the rights of investors and consumers. The statement said that the coordination and cooperation between the two parties include providing applicable regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrencies and other emerging technologies; simplifying regulatory reporting processes for trading data, funds, and intermediaries; coordinating cross-market reviews, economic analysis, risk monitoring, supervision, and enforcement activities.
