The U.S. White House energy official said that American companies will increase oil production.
Chairman of the White House National Energy Leading Committee Doug Burgum said on Wednesday that the Trump administration has held discussions with energy companies planning to increase domestic oil production. Burgum, who also serves as Secretary of the Interior, told NewsNation in an interview, "Under the leadership of the Trump administration, the number of new drilling activities has reached a historic high and is now showing results." He said, "Today, I have had discussions with some energy companies, and they are also planning to increase domestic oil production, such as in the Permian Basin, Bakken Basin, and Marcellus Basin, which have huge oil resources."
