Cathay Pacific Airways announced today its full-year performance for 2025, with a net profit of 10.828 billion Hong Kong dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%. Although mainland listed airlines have not yet disclosed their 2025 performance, based on performance forecasts from several companies, Cathay Pacific Airways remains the most profitable Chinese airline. The company disclosed that it will distribute over 11 weeks of qualifying wages to employees in the form of discretionary bonuses and profit sharing. During an online performance briefing held in the afternoon, Cathay Pacific Group Chairman He Yili attributed the growth in performance to increased capacity, stable passenger traffic, and strong demand for air cargo. However, he also mentioned that current global geopolitical issues have led to unpredictable changes in passenger and cargo traffic as well as aviation fuel prices.
