Data from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) shows that the joint venture led by Shell in Canada, LNG Canada, has increased production this month and started exporting liquefied natural gas to Asia as the threat of war in Iran jeopardizes natural gas supply in the region. The data indicates that the LNG project in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada, has exported 5 shipments in the first 11 days of March, already surpassing half of the total export volume in February. The sixth shipment is set to depart on Tuesday. All shipments are headed to Asia, with two to Japan, two to South Korea, and one to the Philippines. The data suggests that the factory's production capacity is nearing 14 million tons per year at full capacity.
