Tencent secretly launched the WeChat AI intelligent body project, aiming to compete with Alibaba and ByteDance.
On the evening of March 10th, according to foreign media reports, Tencent is secretly developing a new artificial intelligence agent for its popular WeChat messaging application, hoping to surpass competitors such as Alibaba Group and ByteDance in the Chinese domestic artificial intelligence market. The report indicates that, according to four informed sources, the project could significantly expand the application scope of artificial intelligence agents in China - these agents can perform tasks in place of humans, and WeChat has already deeply integrated into people's daily lives. This new intelligent entity will connect with millions of mini-programs within WeChat that provide various services, covering a wide range of areas from booking taxis to ordering groceries. If successful, this intelligent entity will be able to handle these tasks on behalf of WeChat's 1.4 billion monthly active users. Sina Technology has reached out to Tencent for comment on the above news, but has not received a response as of the time of writing.
