The General Office of the Ministry of Finance has issued a notice on the management of the agency accounting industry in 2026. It requires provincial-level financial departments to coordinate the normalization of governance of the agency accounting industry in their respective regions, jointly supervise agency accounting institutions in agency accounting and tax-related business, conduct credit evaluations, and pilot programs to enhance the credibility of accounting data for small and micro enterprises.
The notice emphasizes that financial departments at all levels should strengthen their review of the person in charge of agency accounting business at agency accounting institutions to ensure that the reported information is true, complete, and accurate. At the same time, institutions that do not conduct annual filings as required should be ordered to rectify within a specified period. Failure to rectify will result in being included in a list of key concerns and publicly disclosed to the society.
