Supreme People's Procuratorate report: Supports farmers' wage arrears lawsuits in 28,000 cases.
On the morning of March 9th, the Second Plenary Session of the Fourth Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress will be held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Ying Yong, will deliver a work report at the meeting. The work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate shows that the procurator organs have ensured the rights and interests of laborers, actively participated in addressing the issue of unpaid wages, prosecuted 1190 individuals for refusing to pay labor remuneration, supported 28,000 cases of wage claim lawsuits by migrant workers, and recovered 1.35 billion yuan in unpaid wages. They have also carried out supervision activities to protect the rights of laborers in new forms of employment, and handled 690 cases of public interest litigation. In Shanghai, the procurator organs have urged relevant authorities to fulfill their duties in accordance with the law in response to issues such as "fines for delay" and "fees deducted for complaints" on certain express delivery platforms, and promoted the optimization of algorithm rules to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of industry practitioners.
