Shenzhen's new policy supports free-range lobsters.
The open-source intelligent body project OpenClaw, which has attracted attention due to its icon resembling a red lobster, has recently become popular, with "raising lobsters" becoming a new favorite in the AI circle.
To seize the opportunity for the development of the intelligent economy, Longgang District of Shenzhen issued several measures to support the development of OpenClaw & OPC on March 7, with "zero-cost start-up" as the core highlight. It extends an olive branch to global intelligent body developers and OPC entrepreneurs, creating a first-choice location for global intelligent body entrepreneurship.
Among them, it is mentioned that free deployment, ready to use. The policy encourages platform companies to create a "lobster service area," providing developers with free OpenClaw deployment services and relieving the hassle of complex environment setup. The government will provide corresponding subsidies to the platform, truly achieving a "move-in ready" environment for developers.
Data elements open for sharing. Longgang plans to open up large-scale and high-quality desensitized public data in the fields of low-altitude economy, smart transportation, medical health, urban governance, etc., reducing the cost of using public data. For enterprises purchasing data governance, labeling, and other services for OpenClaw development, a 50% subsidy will be provided; for purchasing the "lobster box" hardware that is plug-and-play, a 30% subsidy will be given based on market price.
Encouraging innovation, rewarding applications. To encourage technological breakthroughs, Longgang plans to provide subsidies of up to 2 million yuan for enterprises that contribute key codes to international mainstream communities and develop and launch industry-specific skill packages in Longgang. Additionally, the implementation of "OpenClaw digital employee application coupons" will support enterprises in purchasing or creating solutions, providing a 40% subsidy on the investment with a maximum of 2 million yuan per enterprise. Every year, a selection of demonstration projects with in-depth applications in intelligent manufacturing, smart government, and other fields will be awarded the title and receive up to 1 million yuan in rewards.
