Wang Yi said that Taiwan has always been Chinese territory since ancient times, and it is impossible for it to become any kind of "country" in the past, present, or future. The return of Taiwan to China is the result of the Chinese people's victory in the War of Resistance against Japan and the fruits of the victory of World War II. A series of international legal documents such as the Cairo Declaration, the Potsdam Proclamation, the Japanese Instrument of Surrender, and UN Resolution 2758 have firmly established Taiwan's status. Any attempts to create "two Chinas" or "one China, one Taiwan" internationally are destined to fail.
