Long March 8A Y8 rocket has been transported to the launch area, and will be launched on a selected date in the near future.
Today, the Long March 8A carrier rocket developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology was successfully transported at the Wenchang Commercial Aerospace Launch Site in Hainan. The rocket body was smoothly transported to Launch Pad No. 1 and is planned to be launched in the near future. The Long March 8A rocket transported this time is an important improved version of the Long March 8 series, with a sun synchronous orbit carrying capacity of 700 kilometers increased to 7 tons, designed for high-density, rapid network launch. In the first year of its maiden flight, it entered a high-density launch rhythm, and has successfully completed 7 launch tasks so far, serving as the core carrier tool for building a satellite internet constellation in China.
It is understood that the Long March 8 series of rockets have planned about 15 launch tasks this year, including the Long March 8A and Long March 8 rockets. The Long March 8 series of rockets are a new generation of medium liquid carrier rockets, and since its maiden flight, with its modular design, high cost performance, and rapid response capability, it has become the main model for launching satellites into low earth orbit in China.
