At 14:00 on March 7, the second collective interview of the "Members Channel" of the Fourth Session of the Fourteenth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held in the north side of the central hall of the Great Hall of the People. During the meeting, a journalist asked Southun Hui, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of Chint Group Co., Ltd., how the manufacturing industry can achieve transformation and upgrading in the context of the deep integration of the real economy and the digital economy. Southun Hui mentioned that the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry cannot be achieved without technological innovation in digitalization and intelligence fusion. Taking Chint as an example, producing power and new energy equipment, the transformer can be regarded as the heart of the power system. In the past two years, the global AI algorithm construction has experienced explosive growth, making transformers difficult to find. "Last year, our transformer exports increased by 71.4% year-on-year, and the factory orders are scheduled until 2027," Southun Hui said. He stated that Chint has been innovating for more than 40 years, from a traditional electrical equipment manufacturer to a provider of new energy solutions, and now to a comprehensive energy service provider. Every transformation has relied on technological innovation and digital integration to promote sustainable development. Currently, in Chint's factories, from order receipt to product delivery, the entire process is driven by data and algorithms, reducing overall operating costs by 20% and increasing efficiency by 50%. Southun Hui mentioned that behind every production equipment, there are hundreds of supplier companies that work closely together, which is also a vivid manifestation of China's industrial chain, supply chain ecology, professional division of labor, efficient collaboration, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Under the guidance of national strategy and relying on the advantage of the super-large-scale market, Chinese manufacturing is flourishing and the prospects for the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry are broad, with a promising future.
